With the cooler weather approaching, it’s no secret that our bodies and immune systems need some extra TLC! Here are my favorite 5 fall wellness tips:

1. increase your antioxidant intake

NingXia Red is an antioxidant powerhouse! Antioxidants fight free radicals (those little unstable atoms that damage cells and cause illness.) Ningxia is PACKED with them! I have been drinking 2-4 oz of this red delicious juice each day for years and swear by it!

One ounce is equivalent to the antioxidant power of:

2. support lymphatic system

Your lymphatic system is a major part of your immune system as it helps to get rid of toxins, waste, and defends the body against infections. Keeping the lymph fluid within the system flowing and draining is so important. I like to first ice roll my fave, then use the guasha for lymphatic drainage.

I’m just diving into dry brushing the rest of my body! It’s recommended you use an oil on your face so that the stone glides smoothly. I love using this CBD Beauty Boost! But you can also make your own. Here’s my favorite DIY Beauty Serum Recipe. There are so many awesome tutorials on youtube showing just how to use a guasha and dry brush. I can see a visible difference after I do this! If you really want to amp it up, get a lymphatic drainage massage! Heavenly! 

3. thieves essential oil

Think: fresh cookies baking in your oven! THAT is what Thieves smells like *drool*! 

It’s no wonder as it’s a blend of the plants of Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus Radiata, and Rosemary!

Talk about an immune system power house! Just type into google or pubmed “power of ____ essential oil” and go through each in the blend to discover their amazing properties. We love to rub a few drops all over the bottoms of the feet! (tons of nerve endings, picks it up and brings it everywhere in the body!)

It is a warming oil because of the cinnamon and clove, so if you rub it on your chest for respiratory support just make sure to dilute it with coconut oil. You can even make some Thieves tea with honey and lemon! It’s so powerful that there’s a whole line of cleaning and personal care products that use Thieves oil blend. We love the household cleaner, cough drops, hand sanitizer, and chest rub to name a few! 

Wellness roller recipe: 

In a 10ml roller bottle: 

  • 20 drops Thieves
  • 10 drops Lemon 
  • 10 drops Frankincense 
  • Top with carrier oil! 

Roll on feet and spine daily.

4. de-stress with a good book

Did you know that studies have shown that reading as little as 6 minutes per day can improve your quality of sleep, reduce stress, and sharpen mental acuity?? Yes please!

5. diffuse essential oils

Once she learned that the word ‘fragrance’ is actual a blanket term for hundreds of harmful chemicals that are connected to skin irritation, respiratory irritation, endocrine disruption, allergies, etc.. it was easy for her to make the much needed switch! We’ve never looked back – and I’m so thankful that I’ve been able to diffuse for Sage since she was born!
